Warm and amusing debut novel

THE LATEST LIST of new titles added to the Library shelves is headed by a warm and amusing debut novel from Ruth Hogan, which made it into Richard and Judy’s autumn collection.

Swallows back for busy autumn

Summer has flown by and the Library is already welcoming back our winter ‘swallows’. It’s good to see so many familiar faces returning to the island.

The good news for the returnees is that there is no increase in membership fees this year. A reminder to everyone that fees are now due, €35 for single members and €45 for double membership.

New-year subscriptions due now

LIBRARY SUBSCRIPTIONS for the 2017/2018 subscription year are now due and we are happy to report that for the fourth year running there is no increase in fees.

The Film Club will be showing The Zookeeper’s Wife on Thursday, October 26. Refreshments and ice creams available during the intermission. We will be open from 1.30pm with lights down at 2pm.

There are also offerings from English writers Francis Spufford and Jane Fallon, Ricky Gervaise’s partner, and another in the Detective DD Warren series of novels from American writer Lisa Gardner.
