OUR ANNUAL Volunteers Lunch raffle is up and running and there are lots of prizes to be won.
The library could not function without the time and dedication given by our 40-plus volunteers, so please buy some tickets. Hopefully, you will win a prize and help us take these hard-working ladies and gents out for a meal and a glass or two. Cheers!
The next in our series of talks is entitled The Lure of the Limerick and will be delivered by our very own Chris Hair. He will be taking a light-hearted look at the history of Britain’s only native verse form, from Chaucer to the present day. Please bring your sense of humour along with you. The talk starts at 12 noon on Thursday, March 9 and will be followed by a buffet with wine, all for €8.
We will be holding our annual Pig Roast on Saturday, March 18. It’s one of our most popular events of the year so please make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are €15 a head, including wine. It starts at 1.30 for 2pm.
