CHRISTMAS IS OVER but the Library continues with its programme of events to interest and entertain you throughout the year.
There is a change to our advertised talk on Thursday, January 19. It will now be delivered by the ever-popular John Hollands and is entitled Why I Changed Sex. Come along and all we be revealed from 12noon onwards. The talk includes a buffet and wine for €8.
It would seem that the Leprechauns ran away with the original talk, scheduled to be about Limericks. Does the Limerick originate in Ireland? However, Chris Hair’s informative and humorous talk has not been shelved and instead will now be given at a future date.
The Library Annual General Meeting is on Thursday, February 2 at 4pm for 4.30pm, to be followed by a buffet with wine. Members only.
Our annual Pantomime is on Thursda,y February 16, starting at 2pm. If you have hidden theatrical talents, then this is the event you’ve been waiting for. Hosted as usual by Tricia Court, this year’s pantomime is Dick Whittington and his Cat – oh yes it is!
Come along and take part or just sit back and enjoy a highly entertaining afternoon. Suggestions in a plain brown envelope please for who should play the Cat! The performance will be followed by afternoon tea for €8. Other refreshments will also be available.
