WE ALL LOOK FORWARD to the summer – don’t forget the clocks go forward one hour in the early hours of Sunday, March 26 – but here at the Library it’s always tinged with regrets because we have to say goodbye to our many swallows and friends now returning to wherever home may be.
We wish everyone a safe journey and look forward to your return in the autumn.
A thoroughly enjoyable lunch was held at the Masaru on Thursday, March 16 for our 40-plus volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible by supporting our raffle and donating prizes. A good time was had by one and all.
Laughter and applause rang out during our latest talk by Chris Hair. The subject of Limericks was both enlightening and highly amusing.
Chris also entertained us with some very witty Limericks of his own, a few of our unsuspecting volunteers being the subject matter. Thank you Chris for bringing us laughter on a gloriously sunny afternoon. We look forward to the next one.
