THE LITERARY GROUP, an offshoot of the Wednesday Group of Friends, meets every Friday morning from 11am at the library.
There is a different topic every week, starting with Introducing an Artist in the widest sense of the word.
Week two is Poetry, whether written by somebody famous or by yourself.
Week three is Introducing a Book you have read and saying something about the author.
Week four’s topic is Creative Writing where you can write a fictional story or about a factual event in which you have taken part.
The fifth week is Topical Discussion where we discuss something in the news or just read out news items that may be of interest.
Everyone is welcome, even if you just want to come and listen. It’s very informal and generally finishes before 1pm.
There is a charge of one euro, which includes a free cup of tea or coffee.
